Andersen® Awning Windows combine contemporary design with convenient operation, low maintenance, and excellent ventilation characteristics. A slim sash and frame provide the greatest possible field of view. A new smooth control hardware system makes it quicker and easier than ever to open and close the window. Every Andersen awning window meets or exceeds industry standards by meeting NWWDA design pressure (DP) 40 performance requirements as well as Andersen's own demanding quality standards.

Features
Frame
1. A one-piece, pre-formed Perma-Shield® sheathing covers the exterior of the frame to maintain an attractive appearance while minimizing maintenance. Andersen awning windows are available in three neutral color options. Specify white, Sandtone, or Terratone®.
2. The Perma-Shield® vinyl sheath extends 1-1/4" around the entire perimeter of the unit. This creates a flashing/anchoring flange for securing the unit to the structure.
3. Wood frame members are treated with a water-repellent wood preservative for long-lasting protection and performance.
4. Natural wood interior stops are made of clear pine that can be finished to match the interior decor.
Sash
5. Perma-Shield® rigid vinyl (PVC) encases the entire sash--a vinyl weld virtually waterproofs each sash corner for superior weatherproofing to maintain an attractive appearance and minimize maintenance.
6. Wood sash members are treated with a water-repellent wood preservative for long-lasting protection and performance.
7. Flexible bulb weatherstripping and spring tension vinyl are installed at the factory and cover the entire perimeter of the unit.
Glazing
8. A rigid vinyl glazing bead features a flexible lip which provides superior weathertightness and long-term durability.
9. High-Performance™ and High-Performance Sun™ glazing delivers optimum insulating performance (glazing option must be specified).
