Features
Frame
1. The sill of the Frenchwood® Gliding Patio Door has an extruded aluminum track, with a stainless steel cap that resists stain, rust and denting. A thermal barrier reduces conductive heat loss and checks condensation on the inside. The sill has an attractive wear-resistant, heat-baked finish in a neutral color.
2. All basic exterior frame members are covered with a rigid vinyl (PVC) sheath which maintains an attractive appearance while minimizing maintenance. Andersen Frenchwood Gliding Patio Doors are available in three neutral color options. Specify white, Sandtone, or Terratone®.
3. Wood frame members are treated with a water-repellent preservative for long-lasting protection and performance. Interior frame trim pieces are clear unfinished pine. Frame flashing included.
4. A flexible PVC weatherstrip on the side jambs, and a pile weatherstrip on the head, provides a positive seal between the frame and panels.
Panels
5. The exterior of the wood door panel is protected with a long-lasting urethane base finish in white, Sandtone, or Terratone® color.
6. Panel interior surfaces are unfinished clear pine, ready for natural stain or paint finish.
7. Panel joints are mortise and tenon with Andersen's patented dowel construction for maximum strength.
Dual ball-bearing rollers on door panels provide smooth gliding operation with self-contained leveling adjusters.
Glazing
Panels are silicone bed glazed and finished with an interior wood stop and an exterior silicone bead.
9. High-Performance? tempered and High-Performance Sun? tempered glazing delivers optimum insulating performance (glazing option must be specified).
Sidelight Unit
Stationary single sidelight units are available with the frame and panel to match operating door units. Sill support and threshold are optional.
