Andersen® Gliding Windows have a bold, detailed profile that blends beautifully with contemporary styles. Both sash move smoothly, with adjustable glides, on a Perma-Shield® track. The low-maintenance Perma-Shield sheath on the exterior frame and sash is designed not to rust, pit, or corrode. Every Andersen gliding window exceeds industry standards by meeting NWWDA design pressure (DP) 30 or 40 performance requirements (depending on unit size), as well as Andersen's own demanding quality standards.
The natural wood interior offers a beautiful finished appearance. The Andersen Gliding Window is very easy to use, delivering reliable, peak performance.

Features
Frame
1. The exterior of the frame is covered with a glass-fiber reinforced material to maintain an attractive appearance while minimizing maintenance. Andersen® gliding windows are available in three neutral color options. Specify white, Sandtone, or Terratone™ color.
2. Wood frame members are treated with a water-repellent wood preservative for long-lasting protection and performance.
3. Fold-out-and-lock nailing flanges accommodate 4-1/2" and 4-1/8" wall construction.
4. Flexible bulb weatherstripping and spring tension vinyl are installed at the factory and provide a tight seal between the sash and frame.
Sash
5. Perma-Shield® rigid vinyl (PVC) encases the entire sash--a vinyl weld virtually waterproofs each sash corner for superior weatherproofing to maintain an attractive appearance and minimize maintenance.
6. Wood sash members are treated with a water-repellent wood preservative for long-lasting protection and performance.
7. Interior stops made of clear pine are ready for finishing to match any decor.
8. Teflon® impregnated Derlin® glides are self-lubricating and require only 8 lbs. of force to operate. A stainless steel spring within the glide provides years of reliable operation--even in harsh environments.
Glazing
9. High-Performance™ and High-Performance Sun™ glazing delivers optimum insulating performance (glazing option must be specified).
